Untraditional Costa Rica Extreme Adventure Tours

An examples of a challenging horseback tour includes the Lake Route from the cloud forests of Monteverde through to Arenal volcano. Another exciting horseback tour is the spectacular cascades of the La Fortuna Waterfall. This horseback tour takes you through the rainforest before you reach the waterfall. During your ride you are bound to encounter wildlife including monkeys and toucans. A swim in the bottom of the waterfall is a must and well deserved after a long hot ride.

After you go up, how about rappelling down? There are many tours which offer a chance to see some of Costa Rica’s breathtaking landscapes. Known as canyoning, participants descend down rock faces by rope. Canyoning tours are usually combined with rafting tours to give the adventurer a full day of enjoyment.
